1 tablespoon
Oil
3 pounds
Oxtail
1 pound
Small potatoes
3 medium sized
Carrots
1 medium sized
Onion
2 tablespoons
Salt
1 teaspoon
Pepper
3
Bay leaves
4 cups
Water or beef broth
Bread for serving
Step by Step Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 and chop up the onions, carrots, and potatoes. Set them aside.
- Preheat a Dutch oven with oil on high heat, then brown the oxtails on all sides. Add the salt, pepper, vegetables, and bay leaves to the Dutch oven.
- Add the water or broth (whichever one you choose), and stir the ingredients together. Cover the Dutch oven with a lid and put it into the oven to bake for at least 2 hours.
- Serve with bread.
